A New Pilot Program to Enhance Your KST Knowledge

For more than two decades, Koren Specific Technique has been known for one thing:

No cracking. No popping. No kidding.

It’s a system that works brilliantly without a single manual thrust—allowing practitioners to deliver life-changing results without forceful adjusting. Many of you have built your practices and your reputations around that very principle.

But here’s what we’ve discovered over the years:
Some KST practitioners do have manual adjusting skills—sometimes from years of experience prior to learning KST—and yet, they hesitate to use them within a KST framework.
Why? Because they’ve been unsure if it still “counts” as KST.

After countless conversations and careful reflection, Dr. Ross and I came to an important realization:
If the body’s innate intelligence shows a preference for a manual adjustment, then—done with the specificity and sequencing that KST provides—it should be given. And who better to deliver it with precision and respect for the body’s priorities than a KST doctor?

That’s why we’re introducing something brand new this fall—
and it’s not just “manual” adjusting.
It’s manual adjusting guided by innate intelligence, seamlessly integrated into the KST process.

The First-Ever KST Manual Adjusting Seminar

📅 November 8–9, 2025
📍 Phoenix, Arizona
A Pilot Program – Help Shape the Future of KST Training

Instead of splitting the weekend into “Beginner” and “Advanced” tracks, this will be one unified, hands-on Adjusting Seminar for all alumni—focused entirely on practical application.

We’ll teach concepts, then immediately move to table work with partners for every segment—making this a deep, skill-focused weekend designed to improve what you do in the office Monday morning.

And because this is a pilot program, your feedback will directly influence how this new format evolves for 2026 and beyond.

What We’ll Cover

While we may not get to everything on the list, our goal is to explore as much as possible:

  • Review of Priorities – Using the priority framework to guide adjusting sequence

  • Wrist & Hand – Findings, muscle work, carpal tunnel considerations

  • Shoulder – AC setup, subscapularis work, stretching, and at-home resets for patients

  • Lower Extremity – Feet, knees, common findings, and soft tissue applications

  • Jaw – Evaluation, muscle releases, home care

  • Manual Sternum Adjusting – Setup and cautions

  • Manual Cervical Adjusting – When and how to use it safely

  • Supine Occiput – For cold sore-related patterns

  • Rib Adjusting – Prone and anterior variations

  • Anterior Adjusting – Special considerations for female patients and practitioners

  • Lumbar – Easy mechanics in side posture

  • Pelvis – Hemorrhoid and coccyx connections (office and home care)

  • Soft Tissue Releases – Bladder lift, uterus lift, stomach pull, organ findings, and stretches to teach patients for lasting results

Why This Matters

This is not about replacing traditional KST. It’s about giving you more tools, more confidence, and a deeper integration of your skills into the KST process—without losing the integrity of what makes KST unique.

Imagine knowing exactly when a manual adjustment is indicated—because innate intelligence says so—and delivering it with the precision that only KST priorities can guide.

FAQ's

What is unique about the KST Technique?

KST allows us to check our patients seated, standing, or laying down. Each position is a different physiology and KST allows us to check patients in each of these positions allowing us to get better results faster. The occipital drop check used in KST is teachable even to young kids. There is a flow chart of the “priorities” of the body and we get to adjust what the body wants, how it wants and in what order it wants. KST provides the ability to look at all of the “Three T’s”: Thoughts, traumas and toxins. The physical, chemical and emotions MUST be addressed for a person to fully heal.

How long does it take to learn KST?

Many KST students begin using KST immediately after their first seminar. Some, take their time to study before introducing it within their practice. For some it depends on what techniques they are currently using.

Why would I learn KST if I already see good results?

As professionals we should always be learning.  KST is a protocol for getting to the thoughts, traumas, and toxins of the body quickly, consistently and allows patients to improve faster.  Our goal should be aligned to those values.

I am a chiropractic student. Do I need to wait until I graduate to take the class?

NO!  Don’t wait!!  We want students to learn how the body works and how to be confident in what you find and adjust.  The sooner you learn the more skilled you can be by graduation.  Heading into active practice with confidence is so vital!

What is the OD?

The OD is short for Occipital Drop.  It is the binary check (like a leg check with Activator Technique or the muscle strength test of kinesiology) that is used in KST to get the physiological information from the body.  Like a lie detector test.  The benefit is being able to check and get information from the body in any posture.  The OD is easy to learn and can even be taught to little kids.

There is an “advanced class”? What is that?

Everything you need to know to do KST you learn at the basic seminar.  Doctors that have been to at least two live seminars and are doing the KST work daily and “own it” are invited to the advanced classes.  We dive deep into topics that may confuse a new KST doctor.  There is plenty of time to be worked on by other KST doctors. Clinical questions are answered. The KST Toolbox is discussed in depth as well as topics the doctors want to discuss.

Do I need an instrument?

No, you do not need an instrument to learn KST. Most of our students as well as Dr Koren use an ArthroStim.

Can I adjust myself?

Yes, that is one of the many aspects of KST that makes it unique. You can adjust yourself.

Are continuing education credits available?

Yes, depending on the seminar and the state. we list the available CE for each seminar on our website.

Can I bring my office staff and or spouse?

Yes, many of our professional students bring along their staff as well as their significant other. There is a fee for them to attend. Please, refer to our registration website for more information.

Is there a KST Certification track?

We currently do not have a certification track. We are looking to add one in the near future.

What is the cost?

First-timers the cost is $1195.
Refreshers: $649
Students with valid ID: $795
